Year-round Activities

Its great to go to the beach off season. There are plenty of things to do year-round at Sunset Beach. Here are a few of our favorites:

The Beach!

It doesn’t matter what time of year you’re at the beach, because you’re at the beach! Sunset Beach is only 1.5 mi away. Stroll out on the pier, or take a walk on the beach. From 40th Street entrance (last one going South), its about 1.5 mi to the South Carolina border! You’ll also pass the Kindred Spirit Mailbox, where you can sit on the benches and read the anonymous letters.

Golf

There are 15 golf courses within 10 miles of Sunset Beach, three right in Sea Trail and just 30 minutes from the golf mecca of Myrtle Beach.

Go for a Swim or Lay out by the Pool

The Village Activity Center has an indoor pool (small fee) that you can use any time of the year and is walkable to the Villa. Also walkable is the Maples Pool, which on any given day that can be in the 70’s even in Winter and great to lay out by the pool and relax on a sunny day.

Ingram Planetarium - They have events going on everyday and are just down the road (right before Food Lion). Check out the calendar.

Zip line, Adventure Park or ATV Tours at Shallotte River Swap Park Get your adrenaline up with a zip line tour, high ropes course or a guided ATV tour.

Shopping

Tsunami Surf Shop (Sunset Beach) Get all your your beach gear or beach wear.

Stay, Play and Relax with us…

Clubhouse Road meanders through Sea Trail Resort and it’s three golf courses. Such a quiet and scenic drive.
One of our favorite places to go is Drift Coffee over in Ocean Isle. Just a quick 10 min drive and you’re on the porch sipping a delicious cup of coffee. And they make a good breakfast too!
The Dan Maples Golf Course runs behind the Villa. Makes good watching for wildlife and golfers.
The Sunset Beach Park is on the edge of the ICW and is just a mile away. What a gem!
The Sea Trail Activity Center is just across the street from us. Outdoor pool and restaurant, but the Indoor and game room will keep us busy all year round even on those chilly days.
The Sunset Beach Villa! We love getting to the beach as much as we can, and when we can’t be there we love hosting others who can take advantage and enjoy it as well. So much to do (or not!) Come stay, play, and relax at The Sunset Beach Villa.
